Anjan Chakravartty wins 2009 CPA Book Prize

Anjan Chakravartty

Anjan Chakravartty was a co-winner of this year's Canadian Philosophical Association Book Prize for his:  A Metaphysics for Scientific Realism: Knowing the Unobservable, Cambridge University Press, 2007.  He joins Arthur Ripstein, Joe Heath, Ronnie de Sousa, and Fred Wilson as departmental CPA Book Prize winners (and impressive list given that the CPA has been awarding the biennial only since 2003).

Two of our colleagues also received Honourable Mentions in this year's competition:  Sergio Tenenbaum for his Appearances of the Good: An Essay on the Nature of Practical Reason (New York: Cambridge University Press, 2007); and Evan Thompson for his Mind in Life (Cambridge USA: Harvard University Press, 2007).
