CPAMP Research Talk (Peter Adamson, Munich)

The Collaborative Program in Ancient and Medieval Philosophy (CPAMP) is an interdepartmental program of doctoral study at the University of Toronto, jointly administered by the Department of Philosophy, the Centre for Medieval Studies, and the Department of Classics.

The CPAMP is pleased to welcome Dr. Peter Adamson from the Munich School of Ancient Philosophy (MUSAΦ) at this Distinguished Visitor Talk. Dr. Adamson’s research interests include late ancient philosophy and Arabic philosophy (Aristotle, Plotinus, and Porphyry; al-Kindi, Abu Bakr al-Razi, Yahya Ibn ‘Adi, Miskawayh, Avicenna, and Averroes).

Dr. Adamson also hosts a weekly podcast called History of Philosophy Without Any Gaps. The podcast led to the publication of A History of Philosophy Without Any Gaps: Classical Philosophy (Oxford University Press, 2014).

The title and abstract of Dr. Adamson’s talk will be announced shortly.
