Ian Hacking to receive Honourary Degree at 2010 Convocation

University Professor Emeritus Ian Hacking, recent winner of the Holberg Prize, is among the 11 people named by Governing Council to receive honorary degrees from U of T in 2010.

Each year, U of T confers honorary degrees on a number of people whose accomplishments are of such excellence that they provide inspiration and leadership to the graduates of the university, and who, by their presence, bring honour and distinction to the institution. The honorees attend convocation to receive their degrees and address their fellow graduates.

Ian will receive his honorary doctorate during the convocation ceremony on Monday, June 14.
