The Department of Philosophy is pleased to announce that Mark Kingwell is a recipient of the Faculty of Arts and Science Outstanding Teaching Award.

Mark has been teaching PHL 100Y for many years, and his dynamic approach there is one reason for the significant student demand for our programs.  The Socrates Project (itself a winner of the Northrop Frye Award last year) is based in Mark's section of PHL 100Y, and his work with the Project participants has been vital to its success.  Mark's upper year courses are also in huge demand, and typically have waitlists that are larger than the total enrollment of the course!

He joins an impressive roster of our colleagues who have been honoured for their contributions to teaching.  Well done Mark!
