Research interests: feminist philosophy, Jean-Jacques Rousseau, political philosophy, feminist and postcolonial critique, women and multiculturalism, Simone de Beauvoir. Some publications: FEMINIST INTERPRETATIONS OF JEAN-JACQUES ROUSSEAU, Editor (2002); "Burnt Offerings to Rationality: A Feminist Reading of the Construction of Indigenous Peoples in Enrique Dussel's Theory of Modernity" (2000); "The Normative Ambiguity of Postmodern Concern for Difference and Diversity" (2002); "Women and Rousseau's Democratic Theory: Philosopher Monsters and Authoritarian Equality"; "Sexist Dualism: Its Material Sources in the Exploitation of Reproductive Labour". Publications also include reports on community-based research on aboriginal social and political issues in Canada.
