Sergio Tenenbaum named Chair of UTM Philosophy; Gurpreet Rattan named Interim Chair

Amy Mullin, Vice-Principal Academic and Dean of UTM, has announced the appointment of Sergio Tenenbaum for a three-year term  as Chair, Department of Philosophy, effective August 1, 2012:  "Sergio brings to this position an excellent scholarly profile and invaluable experience as Acting Chair for the past two years.  His enthusiasm for the department and his discipline, and his dedication to the faculty, staff, and student experience will serve the department well in the years ahead.

As Sergio will be on leave next year, Gurpreet Rattan has graciously agreed to serve as Interim Chair, effective August 1, 2011. (Sergio will remain acting chair until July 31, 2011).   Gurpreet’s judgment, collegiality, and experience with UTM governance and administrative processes make him a wonderful choice to lead the department over the next year."
