U of T Philosophy Ranked #7 in QS Rating
The new QS World University rankings were released late last week, and we are pleased to note that, in the disciplinary rankings, U of T ranked 7th in Philosophy (see: http://www.topuniversities.com/university-rankings/world-university-rankings/2011/subject-rankings/arts-humanities/philosophy). This is the highest rank U of T achieved in any discipline (only matched by English).

As with all ranking exercises, there is some controversy over the
methodology (see:

but it is nonetheless good to know that the Department's impressive
accomplishments are being recognized internationally. Congratulations, everyone!
