This group encompasses those who are otherwise "outside" the university, i.e. not studying at the university. Job opportunities consist primarily of course instructorships (known as SIs, Sessional Instructorships), but there is also sometimes TA work (grader or tutorial leader). The latter positions are known as SIA (Sessional Instructional Assistantships)
