Dr. Yan is the compiler and translator of A History of Chinese Taoism and has published in journals such as the Journal of Chinese Philosophy and Religion Compass. His research interests are in Chinese and comparative philosophy, especially the religiosity of Confucianism in dialogue with Christianity. He has also served as a referee for Dao: A Journal of Comparative Philosophy.
