Catherine is particularly interested in topics at the intersection of practical and epistemic rationality. Her current work centers on the epistemology and the moral psychology of hope. In her dissertation, she develops an account of how hope can be both motivational and realistic, as well as an account of the activity of “placing hope in someone”.
