Viacheslav completed his dissertation entitled “The Evolution of the ‘Idea’ Concept in British Philosophy of the 17th-18th Century,” which was devoted to the study of the notion of “idea” in the philosophical conception of J. Locke, G. Berkeley and D. Hume.
His current project, under the supervision of Donald C. Ainslie, is dedicated to Hume’s epistemology and methodological approaches to the studies of British empiricism. Attention will be paid to analyses of Hume’s theory of perception and mind in the first book of Treatise of Human Nature and An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding and modern visions of problems enlisted there.
Besides philosophy, Viacheslav enjoys art, museums, and sports.
