- Diploma (with distinction), University of Heidelberg (Physics)
- PhD (summa cum laude), University of Heidelberg (Theoretical Physics/Cosmology)
- MA (in progress), Paris-Sorbonne University (Philosophy)
Youness, who has been admitted to the PhD program, comes from a background in theoretical physics where foundational issues in quantum mechanics and early-universe cosmology have led him to central questions in epistemology, metaphysics, and the philosophy of science. He is interested in fundamental truths about reality and in how we should proceed in order to reveal them. Specific topics of interest include induction, abduction, confirmation, simplicity, anthropic reasoning, and the philosophy of the multiverse.
