History of Philosophy Group Talk (Steven Methven, Oxford)

One of five departmental Research Interest Groups, the History of Philosophy Group explores topics in ancient and/or medieval philosophy, the period from Descartes to Kant, and Jewish philosophy from the medieval period to the 20th century.

The History of Philosophy Group is pleased to welcome guest speaker Steven Methven, David Mitchell Fellow and Tutor in Philosophy at the University of Oxford. Dr. Methven’s specialities are the history of analytic philosophy, philosophical logic, and philosophy of mathematics.

Talk Title:  On the Necessity of Self-Consciousness: Ramsey and Knowing One’s Own Mind
