Thursday April 13, 2023, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
The Continental Philosophy Group is pleased to welcome Stephen Houlgate, a professor of Philosophy at the University of Warwick. Dr. Houlgate has worked on Hegel, Heidegger, and Derrida, and the focus of his current research is Hegel’s Science of Logic. He is completing a comprehensive study of the “doctrine of being” in the Logic, which will examine Hegel’s account of quality, quantity, and measure, and will discuss the project of Hegel’s logic in relation to his phenomenology, as well as to Kant’s critical philosophy and pre-Kantian metaphysics.
Professor Houlgate will be giving a lecture on April 13 and a workshop on April 14. If you would like to register for the workshop or have questions, please contact Tarek Dika.
