DESCRIPTION:The UTM Department of Philosophy is delighted to announce that on September 24\, Justice Beverley McLachlin will visit UTM to give us a glimpse inside her newly published memoir\, Truth Be Told: My Journey Through Life and the Law (Simon & Schuster\, September 2019).  McLachlin\, who holds BA and MA degrees in philosophy\, was Canada’s first female\, and longest serving\, Chief Justice.  From a farm in Pincher Creek\, Alberta\, through her training in philosophy and law\, to her post atop the highest court in the land\, McLachlin’s passion for justice has guided her in making decisions that will shape Canadian social reality for years to come.
