DESCRIPTION:The History of Philosophy Group is pleased to welcome guest speaker Tito Magri\, distinguished professor of philosophy at the Università degli Studi di Roma La Sapienza. Prof. Magri’s research interests include political philosophy\, in the philosophy of emotions\, in the foundations of rational choice and in the philosophy of action. He also has interests in the history of philosophy\, where he has done work on Hobbes\, Rousseau\, Hume and Locke. \nTalk Title:\nThe present situation of the person is always that of the imagination \nAbout the History of Philosophy Group\nOne of five departmental Research Interest Groups\, the History of Philosophy Group is home to the History of Modern Philosophy Research Group\, which focuses on the period\, roughly\, from Descartes to Kant.
