DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 22nd Annual Toronto Graduate Philosophy Conference\, with keynote speakers Amie L. Thomasson (Dartmouth) and Christine M. Thomasson is Daniel P. Stone Professor of Intellectual and Moral Philosophy at Dartmouth College. She works in the areas of metaphysics\, philosophical methodology and metaontology\, philosophy of art\, philosophy of social and cultural objects\, philosophy of mind\, and phenomenology. Her current research focuses on questions about what philosophy can legitimately do\, and how we can do it. \nChristine M. Korsgaard is Arthur Kingsley Porter Research Professor of Philosophy at Harvard University\, where she taught from 1991 to 2020. She works on moral philosophy and its history\, practical reason\, the nature of agency\, personal identity\, normativity\, and the ethical relations between human beings and the other animals.
