Diana Raffman’s new book wins CPA Book Prize

The department is delighted that Diana Raffman’s recent book, Unruly Words: A Study of Vague Language, has been awarded a 2015 CPA Book Prize. Diana’s book (OUP 2014) was also the subject of an Author-Meets-Critics session at the recent Pacific APA.

Diana brings lustre to a strong Toronto tradition. Previous Toronto winners of this national prize include Wayne Sumner (Assisted Death), Arthur Ripstein (Force and Freedom and Equality, Responsibility and the Law), Anjan Chakravarty (A Metaphysics for Scientific Realism), Ronnie de Sousa (Évolution et rationalité) and Fred Wilson (The Logic and Methodology of Science in Early Modern Thought).
