We are pleased to welcome to the Department of Philosophy Michael Della Rocca, Sterling Professor of Philosophy at Yale University. Dr. Della Rocca is an authority on the history of early modern philosophy, rationalism, and contemporary metaphysics, as well as on epistemology and the philosophy of action. He has authored three field-defining books: Representation and the Mind-Body Problem in Spinoza (Oxford University Press, 1996), Spinoza (Routledge, 2008), and The Parmenidean Ascent (Oxford University Press, 2020).
