Jairo is a PhD student at the Department of Philosophy with broad interests in social and political philosophy. He is keen on approaching contemporary debates by drawing from different traditions and subfields such as critical theory, pragmatism and social philosophy of language. Jairo’s current research aims to bring insights from the pragmatist tradition to bear on debates about ideology and emancipation. He has additional research interests in the philosophies of race and gender and in Ancient Greek political thought.
