Muhammad Fariduddin Attar is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Philosophy. He is working with Prof. Jon McGinnis on the development of natural philosophy and the scientific method in the post-classical period of Islamic thought. His research also deals with Fakhr al-Dīn al-Rāzī and his reception of Avicenna, the link between metaphysics and cosmology, and the “occult sciences” as a branch of philosophical learning
