Zain Raza

Graduate Student

St. George,

Zain is primarily interested in epistemic normativity and its metaphysical repercussions. More specifically, he is interested in the value of reflective reasoning, the role of higher-order beliefs about our beliefs, and whether there are any constitutive norms of reasoning. Secondarily, Zain is interested in topics in the philosophy of biology, especially the teleosemantic naturalization project for intentionality and rationality, and debates over the causal status of the force of natural selection. Zain also has interests in historical critics of metaphysical naturalism more generally, especially of the Platonist and British Idealist variety.
