Underrepresented Philosophy Conference 2022

Friday March 25, 2022, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Join the Philosophy Course Union for its 2022 Underrepresented Philosophy Conference on Zoom. The Underrepresented Philosophy Conference aims to feature philosophers and philosophies that are underrepresented in the mainstream discourse and academy at large. Each year, eye-opening talks are followed by compelling discussions (and Q & A periods) that expand our philosophical imagination.

This conference is open to everyone regardless of program or year, so we welcome anyone interested in hearing the work of this year’s excellent speakers to attend.

Speakers

  • William Paris (Toronto), “Crisis and/or Utopia?: Reflections on Problems for Racial Justice in the 21st Century”
  • Agnès Berthelot-Raffard (York University) – “Teaching Through an Anti-Racist Lens: Lessons from the Black Intellectual Tradition”
  • Dalitso Ruwe (Queen’s) – “Excited Delirium and Black Male Death in the U.S, Canada & U.K”

Full descriptions of each of these talks are available on the PCU Facebook and Discord  -> Events and News).
