Centre for Ethics, 200 Larkin 15 Devonshire Place, Toronto, ON, CanadaAlberto Toscano, professor emeritus of Critical Theory at Goldsmiths, University of London, and currently teaching at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, divides his current research into three main strands: a theoretical and historical inquiry into the politics of authoritarianism and their links to the racial, geopolitical and gendered crises of capital; artistic efforts to represent or ‘map’ racial capitalism, and in the revitalization of a critical theory of political action informed by anti-colonial and anti-racist thought; the translation and reception of Italian literature, literary criticism, and critical theory.
