Eric is specifically interested in theories of well-being, ill-being, and the relationship between the two. Some of his other interests in ethics include harm, desert, non-human animals, and consequentialism. He also works in political philosophy, usually on issues related to liberalism, including the natural environment, perfectionism, secularism, religious tolerance, the just treatment of children, and autonomy. Eric’s favourite hobby is running, preferably in the mountains. The farthest he has run in one day is 125 kilometres.
