Published by Cambridge University Press, Prof. Lloyd Gerson has edited a volume that is the first complete edition of the Enneads in English in over 75 years, and also includes Porphyry’s Life of Plotinus. Gerson and his team have assembled a significant new translation from the best available text (the editio minor of Henry and Schwyzer and its corrections). The volume features extensive annotation, cross-references, and citations which enable more efficient navigation.

“This monumental edition,” says Cambridge University Press, “will be invaluable for scholars of Plotinus with or without ancient Greek, as well as for students of the Platonic tradition.”

Prof. Gerson’s team of translators comprises George Boys-StonesUniversity of Durham, John M. DillonTrinity College Dublin, R. A. H. KingUniversität Bern, Switzerland, Andrew SmithUniversity College Dublin, and James WilberdingRuhr-Universität, Bochum, Germany.

Congratulations, Prof. Gerson, on this remarkable achievement!
