Biography:

  • BA, Université de Montréal (Philosophy and Classics) 
  • MA, Université de Montréal (Philosophy) 

Ismaël’s research is mainly devoted to Ancient Philosophy. He is particularly interested in the Platonists and the Peripatetics. Most of all, he dedicates his attention to ancient commentaries on both Aristotle and Plato. His other areas of interest include Medieval Philosophy (Arabic and Latin) and the French Enlightenment.
