The Greater Picture: Philosophy of Mathematics (Mary Leng, University of York)

Hosts Michael Miller and Alex Koo invite you to this year’s edition of the The Greater Picture, focusing on philosophy of mathematics and featuring guest speaker Mary Leng from the University of York. For the first half of this online event, Dr. Leng, who completed her PhD in Philosophy at the University of Toronto, will be interviewed about general questions in philosophy of mathematics and her defense of mathematical fictionalism. The second hour will be dedicated to a Q & A session.

The event is broadly directed at undergraduates, but graduate students are welcome and encouraged to attend.
