Join us for a two-day workshop on the concept of the self with Anil Gomes. Anil Gomes is a Fellow and Tutor in Philosophy at Trinity College, Oxford, and a professor of Philosophy in the Faculty of Philosophy in the University of Oxford. He works mainly in the philosophy of mind and the philosophy of Immanuel Kant and has a long-standing interest in the work of Iris Murdoch. He also serves as the reviews editor for MIND. Dr. Gomes recently held a British Academy Mid-Career Fellowship for a project on self-consciousness and objectivity. It resulted in a book, The Practical Self, forthcoming with Oxford University Press in 2024.
