Biography:

Alina is a PhD student at T. Shevchenko National University of Kyiv (Philosophy, History of Philosophy) who is currently a visiting graduate student in the master’s program in Philosophy at the University of Toronto. She specializes in aesthetics. She has a background in art, more specifically, in aesthetics research. Over the years she became fascinated by questions philosophical ideas in art.  More broadly, she is interested in comparative aesthetics, Philosophy of Kasmir Shaivism, and how art influences our worldview.

Outside of art and philosophy, some of Alina’s favorite activities include yoga, swimming, and scriptwriting.
