Biography:

  • Honours BSc, University of Toronto (Cognitive Science & Psychology)

Amelia is an MA student in the philosophy of science stream at the University of Toronto. She is interested in understanding the human mind, especially consciousness, and believes that the project of creating artificial general intelligence may be crucial for this research. She takes inspiration from work in areas such as dynamical systems theory and 4E cognitive science. AI ethics and ethics of technology in general are also of great importance to her. 

Outside of academia she enjoys live music, exploring Toronto with friends, and various types of media (films, TV, books, podcasts, video games, YouTube essays, etc.)
