Biography:

  • BA Honors, First-Class (Philosophy major, Drama minor), University of Alberta

Jonah is a master’s student in the Department of Philosophy. After completing his undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta, he spent a year and a half studying the Chinese language at the National Taiwan Normal University Mandarin Training Center in Taipei. His primary philosophical interests are in ethics and moral psychology, especially the nature of normativity, agency, and the reactive attitudes, and the history of Chinese philosophy, especially the late classical thinker Xunzi. He also has an interest in aesthetics informed by his background in theatre and cultural journalism.
