Joshua, who is pursuing his PhD in the department, is primarily interested in the philosophy of mind, particularly where it intersects with epistemology and the philosophy of logic. During his MA at Ryerson University, Joshua wrote a major research paper that focused on the nature of inference and its connection to belief and understanding. Joshua is also very interested in the philosophy of religion, the topic which first sparked his interest in philosophy, and aesthetics, a topic he should have thought more about during his undergraduate degree.
