Biography:

Mike Arsenault completed his graduate work in philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley. After that, he joined the TIDA Project (Text and Idea of Aristotle’s Science of Living things) as a wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter (postdoc) and the PONS Group (Philosophy of Neuroscience Group) as a Lehrstuhlassistent (roughly, assistant professor), both at the Universität Tübingen. His primary research interest is in ancient theories of perception, especially Aristotle’s, and he maintains an active research interest in philosophy of perception and the philosophy of mind more generally. His current project focuses on perceptible qualities and the structure of the perceptible world in Aristotle.
