Biography:

Munema Moiz is a PhD candidate at the University of Toronto working on philosophy of mind and Sanskrit philosophy. She completed her undergraduate studies at McGill University in Cognitive Science and a Master’s in Occupational Therapy at Western University, before deciding to pursue philosophy academically. She is interested in the Pratyabhijñā school of Kashmiri Śaivism, and in particular in reconstructing arguments related to monism and idealism. Currently she is working on a paper on cosmopsychism in Utpaladeva’s work and the role of icchā/desire in Śiva’s creation of the world.

Outside of philosophy, she is passionate about healthcare and rehabilitation.
