Biography:

• BA (Hons), Philosophy, University of Warwick

Noah is a PhD student in the Department of Philosophy. His main research interests are in 18th-/19th-century philosophy (chiefly Kant, and his reception), ethics and moral psychology, and the philosophy of religion. He is especially interested in issues surrounding free will, moral motivation and self-knowledge, and akrasia—and in Kant’s resources for tackling them. His interests also encompass topics in metaphysics and psychoanalysis.

Before joining the department in the fall of 2024, Noah completed his BA in Philosophy at the University of Warwick, UK. Aside from philosophy, he enjoys creative writing, film, and rereading the works of Thomas Hardy.
