Patrick is a PhD student in the department specializing in philosophy of science. His research interests include logic, philosophy of physics, inter-theory relations (such as emergence and reduction), and the foundations of quantum mechanics and quantum gravity. In particular, he is interested in understanding how scientific representation and formal theorizing together yield coherent descriptions of physical reality across distinct regimes. He also studies intersubjective and relational approaches to interpreting physical theories.
