Biography:

Rachel is a PhD student in the Department of Philosophy. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of St. Andrews, with a semester abroad at the University of Auckland. Most recently, she completed a master’s degree at the University of British Columbia, where she worked as part of a research team investigating climate change and civilizational collapse. She is interested in applied ethics (particularly climate change and environmental ethics), aesthetics, and cognitive science.

Outside of philosophy, Rachel spends time illustrating, baking bread, hiking, and turning over rocks to find cool bugs underneath.
