Biography:

Raphaelle is a current PhD student in the Philosophy Department. Her main research interests are in the history of philosophy, especially medieval and early modern philosophy. She is particularly interested in how philosophers of these eras attempted to reconcile metaphysical, religious, and scientific considerations to produce overarching systems of thought. Her background in physics has also led her to develop strong secondary interests in the philosophies of (all) sciences.

Before joining the department, Raphaelle completed her MSci in Physics and Philosophy at King’s College London, with a thesis on Spinoza’s metaphysics. Outside of philosophy, she enjoys cooking food from all over the world, reading, and exploring the city.
