Shahdah’s academic pursuits lie primarily in the fields of epistemology, ethics, philosophy of science, and philosophy of psychology, with a particular focus on the question of justification. Her research delves into the ethical and epistemological justifications surrounding self-awareness and self-knowledge, while also maintaining a side interest in the subject of aesthetics.

Outside of philosophy, Shahdah is a passionate writer and poet whose love for language is rooted in her appreciation for its expressive power, a sentiment she also shares with philosophy.
