Spencer is a PhD candidate in the Philosophy Department at the University of Toronto. His primary research interest is political philosophy, with a particular focus on questions related to reparations. He is also interested in issues related to Marxist thought, structural injustice, state responsibility, and political self-determination. Outside of research, Spencer is a co-organizer of the department’s Mental Health and Disability Caucus (MH&D).
