Biography:

Stacy is a PhD student interested primarily in applied ethics, in particular: bioethics, public health ethics, and medical ethics. She also has subsidiary interests in political philosophy, philosophy of medicine, and the philosophy of law. Having grown up in Singapore before moving to Toronto for university, she found herself interested in differences in political and ethical systems across cultural contexts, which informs her research. Her work focuses on issues around medical decision-making, physician-patient communication, and informed consent.

Beyond research, Stacy is the organizer for the department’s Underrepresented Philosophy Caucus.
