2025 Undergraduate Orientation

Undergraduates, comes join us for a two-hour introduction to the Department of Philosophy at U of T’s St. George campus. Highlights of the event include

• words of welcome from Martin Pickavé, the department’s chair
• a brief overview of undergraduate studies in the Department of Philosophy by Mike Miller, director of undergraduate studies
• a quick survey of the department’s ethics offerings by Gwen Bradford, a professor in the department who works on value theory and normative ethics
• introductions from members of the Philosophy Course Union (PCU), the department’s undergraduate student association, giving a sneak peek of events in the year to come
• introductions from members of the editorial collective of Noēsis, the department’s undergraduate philosophy journal
• a short info session about the PHL1 program
