UTM Philosophy faculty win SSHRC grants

We are delighted to announce that Profs. Gurpreet Rattan and Byeong Yi were awarded multi-year SSHRC Insight Grants in the 2018-19 competition.  Rattan’s project, The Intellect and its Limits, will “explore the necessary, principled, limits of the intellect, which derive from the very idea of trying to attain an objective perspective on the world”.  Yi will investigate the nature of linguistic meaning in his project Semantic Relationism and the Relationist View of Propositions: The Significance of Relational Features of Contents of Language and Thought“.  See here for further information.
