Workshop on Systematic Metaphysics

Tyler Hildebrand (Dalhousie), Jessica Wilson (Toronto), Paul Franks (Yale), and Nick Stang  (Toronto) will teach a number of workshops on the topic of systematicity.

Monday: Contemporary Systematic Metaphysics

Two research talks

 

1–3 p.m.: Tyler Hildebrand (Dalhousie), “Three Questions about Laws and Properties”

3:30 – 5:30 p.m.: Jessica Wilson (Toronto), “On Metaphysical Skepticism”

 

Tuesday: Systematicity in German Idealism

A day-long research seminar, co-taught by Nick Stang (Toronto) and Paul Franks (Yale)

 

10:30 a.m.–12:00 noon: From Kant to Post-Kantian Idealism (Stang)

Lunch

1:30–3 p.m.: Fichte & Reinhold (Franks)

3:15–4:45 p.m.: Schelling (Franks)

5–6:30 p.m.: Hegel (Stang)
