Sorensen is a professor of Philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin, a professorial fellow in Philosophy at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland, and the Jackman Humanities Institute's Distinguished Visiting Fellow for the academic year 2023-24. He has research interests in epistemology, metaphysics, and philosophy of language, areas in which he has published widely.
