John Campbell, the Willis S. and Marion Slusser Professor of Philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley, has main research interests in the theory of meaning, metaphysics, and the philosophy of psychology. He is currently working on the question of whether consciousness, and in particular sensory awareness, plays any key role in our knowledge of our surroundings.
Robert Pasnau, a professor of Philosophy at the University of Colorado Boulder, has main interests in the history of philosophy, especially the end of the Middle Ages and the beginnings of the modern era. His colloquium talk will focus on the Hume’s philosophy.
Dmitri Gallow’s (ACU) research focuses on the metaphysics of causation and chance and the rational norms governing credence and choice.
Professor Andersen’s research is in philosophy of science, metaphysics, and epistemology, and particularly causation (application of causal methodology to case studies in philosophy of science, causal explanation, problems related to mental causation, and the metaphysics of causation).
Hartry Field’s current research focuses on objectivity and indeterminacy, a priori knowledge, causation, and the semantic and set-theoretic paradoxes. He will talk on “Epistemology from a “Naturalistic” (but not Reliabilist) Perspective.”
