The UTSC Department of Philosophy serves the eastern population of the GTA, offering Specialist, Major, and Minor undergraduate programs. Departmentalized in 2010, UTSC is rapidly expanding, with a strong undergraduate community led by the Association of Philosophy Students.

UTSC faculty also serve in the tri-campus graduate department, and have particular research strength in the philosophy of mind. UTSC students enjoy a lower faculty-to-student ratio while still benefiting from the resources of a globally-acclaimed institution.
