Professor Zollman, game theorist and associate professor of philosophy at Carnegie Mellon University, specializes in mathematical models, social behaviour, biology, and the evolution of languages.
Hartry Field’s current research focuses on objectivity and indeterminacy, a priori knowledge, causation, and the semantic and set-theoretic paradoxes. He will talk on “Epistemology from a “Naturalistic” (but not Reliabilist) Perspective.”
The History of Philosophy Group is pleased to welcome guest speaker Steven Methven, David Mitchell Fellow and Tutor in Philosophy at Oxford University. Dr. Methven’s specialities are the history of analytic philosophy, philosophical logic, and philosophy of mathematics.
