The department is delighted and proud to announce that two of our graduate students, Kristen Beard and Alexandra Gustafson, have published pieces on the Blog of the APA. In “The Circle: How to Foster Community in the Classroom,” Kristen writes about the advantages of a teaching and discussion tool called The Circle, which she first encountered in a class taught by Professor Owen Ware. Alexandra, on the other hand, draws readers’ attention to the work of the GPSU’s Mental Health & Disability Caucus, highlighting the power of collaboration and teamwork to support graduate student well-being in her “Mental Health & Disability Caucus: Community Support through Collaborative Action.” Congratulations to them both on their important and thoughtful work.
